    Hi Ronnie!
I realized my dream and were 'with you' in Winfield KS last night! I became a fan of yours when I started listening to Country LegendsFM 106.9 in Topeka KS a few years ago. What was wrong with me?! I'm over 60 and a 'new' country fan.
What a heart you have that comes through your singing. Wow you are totally special. I'm happy to watch a new generation who is appreciating good music like yours too, so this podcast is definitely their style.
Again, after I heard your voice on the radio, I bought your music on CD's and have transferred to my mp3so I can listen and walk! I've read your book, and admire you as a person, (or maybe that's more like 'adore' you as a person!) You communicate emotion! I can say my husband loves you too for what you do to me ;-) I feel the love you communicate and it makes me 'better.' I love hearing your voice on the podcasts too. Just think, with the help of some wonderful radio people like we have at Country Legends here in Topeka, people like me have not only discovered artists like you but now crave all the music that goes along with 'country!' I know you're a little bit country and a little bit rock n roll, and that's all the better!
I'm buying your gospel album either here from your site if available, or will order on-line somewhere! (WalMart.com!?)
I appreciate that you keep on keeping on! THANK YOU!

Hey Ronnie, Podcast #2 was great as well! Thanks for Woman In Love. Look forward to hearing it live tomorrow night! I also can't wait to hear Up to Zion live. These podcasts are really fun and it seems like you have plenty of requests to keep you busy for a while so I'll wait to add more. One thing I wonder about is what goes through your mind while you're singing these wonderful songs? When I'm performing a really difficult piece I'm totally focused on making it happen. But if it's easy or something I've done over and over,I end up noticing the sights and sounds of the listeners, thinking about what I want for supper, remembering people I haven't thought of in years, etc. What about you? Have safe travels this weekend.

Hi Ronnie - My name appears as "anonymous" because I cant seem to retrive my forgotten Google password, LOL. But, It's me, David Underwood (WDUnderdog).

I just finished podcast number 2 and I'm not surprised that I learned some things I didn't know. I'm always interested in the story behind the song. I love hearing you talk about the writers and how the songs came about. Please keep P-casts going! I travel a lot too and I can listen on the plane. What I'd really like to hear are some recording "bloopers", "outtakes" from the studio. Through the years listening to you I've always dreamed of being there - in the studio while you put the recording together. I know it's done differently now a days but what a thrill it would be to hear the actual, behind the scenes activity. Thank you for being such a positive influence. You have encouraged me in so many ways. You've had a direct influence on my drive and focus beginning in the 70s. I went through some tough times and you, sir, were a friend. I'll see you soon on the road. Be safe - David Underwood, Atlanta, GA.

Sincerely enjoy listening to the podcasts. It is interesting learning about the various song writers and musicians that are on the recordings with you. God certainly has blessed you with a brilliant mind and tremendous talent. You are one of our gifts. My husband and I attend your concerts whenever we can. The gospel CD is such a blessing. All the old "standards" that we grew up on, and I really enjoy "Jesus Was All I Had". Great Song! Keep up the podcasts. Hope to see you in person soon. Keep Safe. Linda

I have been a huge fan of yours for as long as I can remember. Smokey Mt. Rain is my all time favorite! I would love to hear how that song came about. And, maybe how you came to do "She Loves My Car", which I also love. Heck, I love 'em all. :)
You are a fantastic artist, and I hope to see you in mid-September when you are here in Kentucky. Love ya!

I really enjoy the pod-casts. It would be nice if you gave us a little more personal information. I am always asked why you changed your name from Millsaps to Milsap some of the old-timers wish you never changed the spelling of your birth name. If they ever do your life story people in the family say we look a lot a like so if they ever do your story they say I should try for the part...I feel a story on your life is way over due and would be proud to be a part.

Keep doing what you do best and bless all of us with your great music. Get back to Texas soon...

    Ronnie,
I spoke to you and your family one night before your concert at the River Days in Portsmouth ,OH, across from your room at our hotel. You had also sign an album cover of mine in Cleveland, OH at our Good Morning Cleveland Show in the late 70's! I couldn't believe my luck that day, and will always hold it as one of my life's highlights!Smoky Mountain Rain will always be my favorite. Over the years you have improved your voice, and the podcasts are great.God has truly blessed you and given your songs to us. The gospel CD was another great addition. I only wish I was able to do the Grand Old Opry when I was in Nashville visiting my son, but time never allowed. The love and feeling you have for your music has truly "delivered us from evil", it's always inspiring.Your fans love you! Keep up the great work, as I know I never tire of hearing your wonderful efforts!

Ronnie, you're phenominal, absolutely phenominal. Have been listening to your music for a very, very long time. Remember driving in my car more than 25 years ago, listening to your tape when my young son, about two year's old at the time, sitting in his car seat, began singing along. His favorite song was "All My Roads Lead Back to You," but, his version came out, "All My 'Roast Beef' Back to You." He asked me to write you a fan letter and you responded, sending an autographed picture. He'll be 31 and still loves your music. Just ordered three of your gospel CDs, one for my son, one for the car and one to keep at work. Keep on doin' what you're doin', Ronnie. God Bless.

When I moved to Nashville in 1972 I remember people talking about this great singer out at the King of the Road. I later learned just how great while working at a record store and a tour company. When I wasn't listening to your songs on the radio (and, yes, singing along) and selling your records, I was pointing out your beautiful home from the right side of a tour bus (well, my left...their right...LOL!). Even though a lot of things have changed since then (I mean, really, who knew 8-tracks wouldn't last?!), I love that you still sound great and haven't forgotten the importance of connecting with your fans. And I'm definitely ready for Podcast #3!

    Ronnie,

I'm a born again part-time gospel artist myself up here in Ontario, Canada. Grew up in the heart of the GM town known as Oshawa. Dad used to take me to the now legendary "All Night Gospel Sings" at Massey Hall in Toronto. This is where my formative years began as I had the wonderful opportunity to hear many great gospel groups such as Blackwoods, Cathedrals, Oak Ridge Boys, Couriers, Goodmans, and so on. I was about 6 and that is when my love for music all began. About the age of 17 Country/Pop music (especially your kind) also began to grip me to the point where I was heavily influenced by such artists as yourself, BJ Thomas, Alabama, Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard, just to name a few. However, my most favorite secular country artist of all time was and still remains, Ronnie Milsap. Now more recently to discover your brand new gospel album project, and to learn even more about your unfailing faith in Jesus Christ all along the way, completely thrills my heart and soul more than ever! You are a credit to the music business and all of your piers. I believe you have stood the test of time and it is obvious to me that the Lord has always been in control of your entire destiny. My greatest desire is to one day get an opportunity to meet you in person.
    Warmest regards,

    Hello Ronnie,

Your idea to podcast is very innovative and adds a very personal touch. Your words are very clear as well as the music.

I have been a fan of yours since "it was almost like a song". I have been to several of your shows and last saw you in Plant City, Florida at the Strawberry Festival where I had hoped to meet you. I did get to meet your son and band leader.

I think the whole idea of the podcast is to get feedback from the fans. I think you are interested in hearing ideas more so than hearing just approvals. I would love for you to have more number one records and thus is my reason for writing my opinions below.

I like your most recent gospel songs but would love for you to come out with one that has never been done before. A lot of the gospel music is upbeat now and new styles are more acceptable in the gospel realm.

What do you think about this suggestion? Do a strong melody (a strong mysterious tune as done in "stranger in my house") and put it to words of Jesus and the Devil fighting it out tooth and nail over a person in need or a person calling on Jesus. A strong, bold video to follow would be awesome.

When a person hears "a stranger in my house"; they know that particular song is Ronnie Milsaps gift to the world. A gospel song in originality as Ronnie Milsap can perform would be another remarkable gift.

I would love for you to have several more number 1 records. I think you should stay with love songs, upbeat and mysterious melodies. I would suggest original mystifying and storyline plots when doing gospel.

You are such a great superstar and I would love to hear you on the radio singing more number one hits.

I hope that I will be fortunate enough to meet you one day. Do you have any plans in the near future for a visit in the Tampa Bay area?

    Keep up the great work.

    Brian Connell

Ronnie, I hold you personally responsible for helping to mold my life! I am Brenda Lee Hager-Morgan.I heard your song Pure Love and wore it out dancing with my pom poms in our basement in Minnesota on my mini record player that I bought with S&H greenstamps..remember those? I was 12.I saw an article about you "Blind Singer is Pure Love!" I had to get every album and see every appearance on Tv's and talk shows (even faked being sick from school one time: forgive me Lord! it was worth it). I read every book on Helen Keller, Braille, Auto biographies on Tom Sullivan and the list goes on. My neighbor was blind I loved guiding him and helping him in his wood shop. I was inspired by you to volunteer at the Minneapolis Society for the Blind as soon as I got my license and worked with a blind rehab instructor named Geraldine Stroh. She gave me a round pewter medal which had "You are precious in His sight" written on it. I gave it to Phil at a concert in MN to give to you but he refused to let me see you and I don't know if you ever got the medal? I saw you first at the old Met sport stadium in Bloomington near the Carlton Dinner theatre. That location is now the Mega Mall! You played with Tammy Wynette and the Statlers. I was hooked and met Marletta Wagner and Jeanne Eliott who were reps for your club there. THey, befriended me and encouraged me to travel to Nashville to Fan Fare at age 15 to meet you. WHile there, I was introduced to my new lifelong friend, Marlene Neff-Nord. I was thrilled to be able to guide her through the crowds and get to know her. I still have a piece of foam from your castle booth and a bottle of your Perrier! Fans collect strange things. I travelled to visit Marlene and spent countless hours listening to her play and sing your songs to me for several summers and toured with her and the band she played in. I also became a ski guide for the blind and volunteered at riding therapy programs. I went to Bethel College in Social work, University of WIsconsin Stout in Menomonie for Vocational Rehabilitation, and then on to Cal state Los Angeles to become an Orientation and Mobility Instructor! That is a long story, but I believe God used you in a very special way to help me become who I am today. It is not easy getting through your wall of security at concerts so this is finally a way to feel close to you through podcasts. I have met you many times and almost saw you at Table Mountain Casino near where I now live in Auberry, CA but I guess a dear school friend came to visit you so Marlene and I missed out on sharing our 25 year friendship anniversary with you! I am married to a great man who loves the Lord and hopes to be in full time ministry one day. We did 3 short term missions to Russia and were unexpectedly blessed by the bonus of adopting 2 kids from there and they are now 12 and 13. They recognized you on the radio long before they could even speak English. I am eager to begin working in the O & M field soon and am waiting on news from the Fresno V.A. to be a Blind Rehab Specialist or whatever God has in store for me. I am open to His plan and I am thankful that you are open to His plan for you as well. I am certain that many lives will be touched through your testimony. I always hoped you were a Christian but sensed a hesitant barrier about freely proclaiming your beliefs in interviews and now I am understanding why. Are Joyce and Todd believers? How can I or we, your fans, pray for you?
I sang, It was almost like a song, for Ralph Emery to win a free album while he stalled at Fan Fare for your band to set up and the band actually started accompanying me!! I was embarrassed to think you might have heard me spoil your beautiful song!! So you see...What a difference you have made in my life...its almost like a song! THe song is not over for any of us. Keep on singing your country heart out and Go boldly and spread the Light of Jesus. Blind People are outta sight!!! :)You, Ronnie, are precious in His Sight!
    In His bonds, Brenda
